European Projects
Our Contribution to a Digital and Sustainable Logistics in Europe
Actively participating in European projects means leading innovation in the logistics and transport sector towards sustainable logistics solutions and digital technologies, with the aim of balancing sustainability and operational efficiency
H2MA
Green Hydrogen Mobility for Alpine Region Transportation (H2MA)
-
Green Hydrogen Mobility for Alpine Region Transportation (H2MA) is a transnational project involving 11 partners from five countries within the Alpine area (Italy, Austria, Germany, France, and Slovenia) aimed at promoting green hydrogen mobility through the coordination and development of sustainable infrastructure for both freight and passenger transport.
-
Codognotto plays a pivotal role in the H2MA project, providing tools and expertise to support the development and expansion of hydrogen mobility infrastructure (HRS). In particular, through the organization of workshops, capacity building events, and matchmaking activities with stakeholders across the hydrogen value chain, we aim to facilitate the creation of synergies and knowledge sharing.
Simultaneously, the company conducts in-depth analyses to identify barriers and opportunities related to the growth of hydrogen valleys.
-
Through the project, Codognotto not only advances towards its sustainability goals but also actively contributes to the creation of a greener and more resilient transportation system across the entire Alpine region.
SCALE
Promoting C-ITS Adoption and Alignment across Europe (SCALE)
-
SCALE (Strengthening C-ITS Adoption and Lining-up across Europe) is a 52-month, 76 million euro project that brings together 88 partners from 4 different countries (France, Italy, Spain, Austria). SCALE aims to increase the large-scale deployment of C-ITS (Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems) services by developing new use cases and assessing their impact across ten different pilot projects at the European level, to promote intelligent, safe, and sustainable road mobility.
-
In the project, Codognotto contributes to the experimentation of C-ITS services for freight transport by equipping part of its fleet with intelligent devices and developing a cloud platform to receive and analyze real-time traffic information. This platform will be integrated with software that enables the dynamic re-routing of transport missions based on detected events.
-
Each of these activities will help us optimize our transportation operations, enhance road safety by supporting drivers, reduce emissions through route optimization, and deliver superior services to our clients.
From Concept to Solutions
European projects present us with the opportunity to start from an innovative idea, engage with international realities and best practices, and arrive at final innovative solutions that ensure the reduction of environmental impact and the improvement of supply chain efficiency.
GYF
Green Your Freight (GYF)
-
Green Your Freight (GYF) is an initiative developed in collaboration with the University of Tessaglia, aimed at revolutionising last mile logistics through innovative and sustainable digital solutions. This includes an advanced web application designed to optimize the use of transport vehicles (tractors and semi-trailers) and significantly reduce the environmental impact of freight transport by minimizing empty kilometres.
-
Codognotto is one of the key partners of the GYF project. Thanks to its substantial fleet and international presence, the company stands out as a real-life demonstrator of the system within road logistics, showcasing the positive economic and environmental impacts of implementing GYF.
-
With its extensive experience, Codognotto provides valuable feedback for the platform's development, also supporting dissemination and awareness activities among logistics operators and institutional stakeholders.
IKIGAI
-
IKIGAI is a project funded by the Horizon Europe program, aimed at accelerating the realization of the Physical Internet (PI) by 2040 and promoting the decarbonization of transport by 2050. The project advocates for the creation of accessible, collaborative, and coordinated Logistic Network Systems, based on open and standardized processes to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions.
-
Codognotto is participating in the IKIGAI project with the aim of contributing to the decarbonization of freight transport by adopting innovative and collaborative solutions to enhance intermodal transportation. Specifically, Codognotto's role involves co-creating a collaborative ecosystem for volume pooling and transport capacity optimization. Additionally, Codognotto will be involved in implementing a book and claim model for calculating emissions through a chain of custody.
-
Codognotto is participating in the IKIGAI project with the goal of accelerating the digital and sustainable transition of logistics, contributing to the development of the Physical Internet (PI). By experimenting with innovative solutions based on resource sharing, process digitalization, and freight transport decarbonization, the company aims to strengthen intermodality and increase the volume of goods transported through integrated solutions.
