The Codognotto Group launches 'Codognotto Turkey' in Istanbul, a new sales branch operating in the Turkish territory.

This decision is part of a strategic business approach aimed at enhancing extra-European service offerings and establishing a vital connection hub between Europe and Middle Eastern countries in Istanbul.

Leveraging a robust intermodal network originating from Trieste, Codognotto will be able to offer new connection services with key European countries: Italy, Poland, Austria, Benelux, Great Britain, Slovakia, and Spain. Enhancing this plan is the recent commercial agreement with the Vectorys Group, a company specializing in flows between Europe and North Africa, which will ensure connections with North African countries.

The new branch will also play a key role in the corridor towards Central Asia and China. This route, which includes Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, all the way to China, will represent an important alternative for companies aiming to bypass the northern corridor through Belarus and Russia.

As Fabrizio Battista, FTL Division Director Eastern Europe of the Codognotto Group, explains

Turkey is a key player in the movement of goods between Europe and Eurasian countries. The economy of this nation is expanding at a swift pace, especially in sectors such as textiles, fashion, automotive, and electronics. These significant volumes of goods are set to make their way to Europe. Despite the highly competitive landscape in this region, the rise in Turkish exports and the country's central location make Turkey a strategic hub throughout the Mediterranean area.

The Codognotto Turkey team will include both a commercial and an operational department, ensuring proximity to local clients and offering comprehensive services, including legal aspects. Among the main activities of the new branch, there will be a particular focus on creating new synergies with the existing intermodal service that combines road and rail freight, with key hubs in Poland, Italy, and now Turkey.
